Communicator 6000

Communicator 6000  Priced from: $3,495  (and free shipping!)

The Communicator 6000 is a “convertible” notebook computer, which means the 12” TOUCH screen can spin 180 degrees and lay down over the keyboard to become a tablet computer.  So it can switch from a notebook computer to a tablet computer in 2 seconds!!

The benefits of a “convertible” notebook are many.  It offers the user the benefit of a physical keyboard which may be easier to use, or see, than an on-screen keyboard. Secondly, by covering the keyboard in the Tablet position, the appearance of the device is simplified for cognitively challenged users.  Finally, rehab and evaluation centers seem to prefer the “convertible” style because it offers the ability to use ONE computer to assess a clients capabilities using BOTH a tablet style computer and a conventional style computer.   And lastly, we lowered the price of the Communicator PC10 to make it accessible to Americans with or without insurance coverage.

Includes... HP Convertible/Touchscreen notebook (12”) convertible computer PLUS the following software:

“SpeechPRO” with 5,500 Gus symbols and Neospeech premium voices

**Please Read  -  IMPORTANT**  -  Dec 1, 2009:  Gus Communication Devices offers COMPLETE speech solutions at Co-Pay (20%) prices ***

Almost every day, we hear from people who have NO insurance, or have insurance that won’t pay for a speech device, or who don’t qualify for Medicare or Medicaid because of age or economic position.  And over the past 17 years, we’ve seen these calls increasing in number and frequency.  Added to this...Blue Cross has lowered the maximum it will pay toward a speech device to $1,000 and, the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Assoc) has cancelled it’s $2,000 funding for speech devices beginning Jan. 1, 2010.

So today we decided to do something about it.

What if we offered our speech packages at prices that matched the out-of-pocket costs (20%) fully insured individuals spend on our competitors $8,800 speech packages?   And what if we made those prices available to anyone whether they had insurance or not?

In other words, remove the medical device “reimbursement max” ($7,100) out of the price completely.

One VERY competitive price for all....individuals, schools, hospitals, DME suppliers and health insurance providers.

The following chart demonstrates how without ANY insurance, an individual’s out-of-pocket expense is equivalent to what a fully insured individual would pay to obtain an equivalent speech package from our “medical” competitors.
