Animal Math Activity Board Set

Description
This set of boards will allow the student/user to learn and recognize numbers 1-10, their value and their written name. Using fun animal characters they will learn all about each number, one at a time. The student/user will be asked to demonstrate their knowledge of the number by finding the number from a set of numbers, finding the written word from a set of written words and show that they know the value by selecting the correct value choice.

The main board or the start board is named “+animalmath”. This is the starting point. Once you open this board you may pick from a few choices.

On the main board, clicking on any of the animals the student/user will hear the animal say its name and what number it will help you learn.

On the main board, click on any of the numbers and it will take you to learn all about that number. When you arrive on a number board you will see the title with 3 sentences about the number. The student/user can click on the sentence and read along as it reads aloud. Then simply click the next button at the bottom of the page to go to an instant quiz about the number the student/user just learned. On this second board, the student can read along while clicking on the sentence to hear the question then, select the correct answer. If the answer is incorrect they will hear a redirect to try again. When the user successfully clicks on the correct answer they will hear positive feedback. Clicking on the “Next Page” button on this board will return them to the main board. They can then click on the next number to learn a new number, click on the same number to review the number they already have learned or go on to a different choice.

On the main board, when you choice “The Animal Math Game” it will link to a game about numbers. It asks the student/user to select the correct number to match the amount of animals on the page. If they choose the wrong value they will hear a redirect statement encouraging them to try again. When the correct answer is selected it gives a positive audio reinforcement. On both of these boards the user can click on any words or numbers to hear what is written. By clicking the “Next Page” button it will take them through 10 animals playing this game while learning the value of the number. When it get to the last animal the “Next Page” button will link them to the main board.

On the main board, the “Review” button will take them to a review board, by clicking the giraffe they will hear the directions. Then by clicking on each number, word and animal they will review the number, its word and value.


Find It! Activity Board Set

Description

These sets of boards will allow the student/user to  generalize information, and to produce a response that demonstrates comprehension. They will use their tracking skills to find objects and then learn or show they already have learned the English language and the meaning of the word.

These sets of boards are great for second language users, Special education students as well as young learners in regular education.

The main board or the start board is named “+Find it”. This is the starting point. Once you open this board you may pick from a set of 10 scenes. Click on any scene and it will say its name and then link directly to that scene. Once you are in the scene you choose, click on the directions to have the instructions told to the user as they read along. Then simply find the object. The target or symbol you are to find is in a button on the left. Look for the target in the scene and click on it. You can click on that button for a reminder of what you are looking for. When you click on an item in the scene it will give audio feedback if it is incorrect and redirect to try again. When the user successfully clicks on the correct answer it will link to a new board of the same scene to find a different item. It will go through 10 different targets for each scene. At the last target it will link back to the main board where you can choice a different scene or quit out altogether.

What is Different Activity Board Set

Description

Which color is different-

This section will allow the student/user to select the color that is different from the other three colors on the board. There are a total of 4 colors on each of the six boards. Once the student/user selects the color that is different it will go to a pop up board of that color. There is audio feedback for correct as well as incorrect selections. The student/user will select the color word to return to the original board. To go to the next color board click on the Next button.

Find what is different-

This section will allow the student/user to select the symbol that is different from the other three symbols by their category. There are a total of 4 symbols on each of the five boards. Once the student/user selects the symbol that is different it will go to a pop up board of that symbol for visual praise. There is audio feedback for correct as well as incorrect selections. The student/user will select the awesome word to return to the original board. To go to the next board click on the Next button.

Which number is different-

This section will allow the student/user to select the number that is different from the other three numbers on each of the five boards. There is a total of 4 numbers on each board. Once the student/user selects the number that is different it will go to a pop up board of that number. The student/user can practice counting and then click on each item, which will reinforce the number. There is audio feedback for correct as well as incorrect selections. The student/user will select the number word to return to the original board. To go to the next board click on the Next button.

++Main is the board to start the activity. On this board you will find the three choices of different activity choices. The three boards with + before their board name simply show they are the first board of each set.

The Next button at the bottom of each page will link you to the next page. The Back button with take you back to the previous board.

My Blog! Activity Board Set

Description

“My Blog” will allow students to select symbols to tell a story about themselves. The adult or teacher in there life can customize the symbols to meet their needs. The template or format is established. The adult in the Overboard users life could even use real digital photos.

Select each symbol or word grouping for audio feedback.

 The arrow at the bottom of each page will link you to the next page. If you select a color or a girl or boy on the first board you will go to a pop up board. To return to the main board again select the turn around red car at the bottom of the board.  

This is a fun way to engage conversation with a student or group of students. The students could take turns telling their blog story and discussing it with the class and teacher.
